In the game that everyone was watching and talking about at Hobson Freedom Park in Dayton, Ohio on Sunday morning, the CFC Premier Blue U11G defeated CUP Crew Jrs to win the 2011 Ohio South State Cup title.  It was an absolutely amazing game.  Both teams were tremendous.  The game was fast paced, featured excellent goalkeeping, fantastic play between the boxes and tons of energy.  Each team hit the woodwork 3x times, the CUP goalie made a diving save in the closing seconds of overtime to perserve the tie and CFC rallied twice from being a goal down to even the score including a goal in the closing second of regulation to send it to overtime.  The players demonstrated tremendous character, determination and resolve in their quest for the championship.  After two 10 minute overtime periods, the game remained notted at 2-2.  With the score tied after 8 shooters, the CFC goalkeeper saved the 9th attempt by CUP.  The CFC player who missed her shot in the first round of penalty kicks, stepped up in the golden goal round and burried her second attempt into the side netting to earn the first Ohio South State Cup Championship for the Classics FC girls program!
