2011-12 CLASSICS FC PROGRAM INFORMATION PACKET
This docuement describes all Classics FC programs including fees, uniforms, commitment levels and commitment meetings dates/times.

The Classics FC Youth Academy will have a new look for 2011-12.  We are excited about the new direction of the Youth Academy and the opportunities it will provide players, coaches and parents in our community.  The Youth Academy is designed to support the U8, U9 and U10 boys and girls age groups.  The Youth Academy will include both CFC Competitive and CFC Premier teams in these age groups.

The CFC Youth Academy is the link between OYAA recreational soccer program and the CFC Competitive and CFC Premier programs.  The goal is to help players, parents and coaches transition away from recreational soccer into a more competitive environment characterized by...

* Consistent training environment involving the parent-coach and professional coach
* Tiered pricing based upon family/player commitment, interest and ability levels
* Age appropriate travel expectations
* Balanced mix of academy style training and team focused sessions
* Communication with parents regarding developmental opportunities

There are 3 program options within the CFC Youth Academy
Option 1:  U8 Academy - all players leaving Rec soccer must enter at this level
Option 2:  U9 and U10 Competitive - parent coached teams
Option 3:  U9 and U10 Premier - professionally coached teams

Option 1:  U8 Academy
A child who turns 8 years old between August 1, 2011 and July 31, 2012 are eligible for the U8 CFC Youth Academy.  Parents must register their child using this link

Player Registration: http://www.youthleaguesusa.com/oyaa/2011/TryoutCFC.html

After I register, how does my child get on a team?
(1) - With a Team ..... Players can join the U8 Youth Academy as a member of a team moving out of the OYAA Rec Soccer Program.  The head coach of the team must complete the CFC Team Applicaiton.  This application is due by June 9, 2011.  The application asks for a list of players who will be on the coach's team.  Players listed on the team application will be cross referenced with those that Registerd online using the link above.  Players joining the U8 Academy with a team/coach do not have to attend tryouts.  We encourage players to attend 1 night of tryouts to meet professional coaching staff and learn about the program.

(2) - As an Individual ..... Players may also register as individuals. Players who join as individuals MUST attend at least 1 night of tryouts for the U8 and U9 age groups.  WHY?  The professional coaching staff will evaluate the child's strengths/weaknesses so we can best assign them to a team.  Players may be assigned a existing team looking for players (see above), or a new team composed of individual players who registered and attend the tryout.  Newly formed teams will be assigned a parent-coach.

Are there U8 Premier teams?  Competitive teams?  No.
The U8 Youth Academy does not have Premier or Competitive levels.  The U8 program is a unique, stand alone program.  Teams will be parent-coached and professionally trained.  The entire experience will be driven by the Director of Soccer, Youth Academy Director and Age Group Coordinators.  These individuals will support the team coach by helping plan and run training sessions, attend games, recommend game/position formats that will maximize the players development.  There will also be regular communication with parents about the developmental progess being made by the age group and who that helps prepare them for future opportunities.

Does the U8 Youth Academy include Professional Training?  Yes
All U8 Youth Academy teams will participate in 30 practices with a member of our professional coaching staff.  There will be 10 sessions in Fall, Winter and Spring.

Does the U8 Youth Academy include winter indoor training?  Yes
All U8 Youth Academy teams will be scheduled to participate in 10 weeks of winter indoor training at SuperKick.  These sessions will run from January through March.

Do U8 Youth Academy teams play in a league?  Tournament?  Yes
All U8 Youth Academy teams will particiapte in a competitive league outside of the OYAA recreational soccer program.  Games are played in neigboring communities like Dublin, Westerville, Worthington, Hilliard, Delaware, Marysville, New Albany, Gahanna.  All teams will participate in 1 tournament per season.

At U9 and U10, families will have to make a choice between the Youth Academy's Premier Program and the CFC Competitive Program.

Option 2: U9 and U10 -- CFC Competitive teams
The Competitive program is designed to offer families an alternative to the CFC Premier program.  The Competitive program teams are coached and managed by parent-coaches.  The teams play in a competitive league and attend the league's end-of-season tournament.  Teams receive 15 professionally coached training sessions (5 fall, 5 winter, 5 spring) with the Age Group Coordinator.  Teams will be scheduled to attend 5 winter indoor training sessions.

Option 3:  U9 and U10 -- CFC Premier teams
The Premier program is designed to offer the highest level of competition and training within our community.  Teams are professionally coached for the full year.  This equates to approximately 100 professionally coached contacts per year (includes training, league games, winter indoor and spring).  Teams participate in a competitive league, attend 3 tournaments per season and have 10 weeks of winter indoor training included in the fee.
