Classics FC Play well over Labor Day Weekend Congratulations to all fourteen Classics FC teams for their hard work and great sportsmanship during tournament play this past Labor Day weekend. Six teams-- u9 Boys Premier, u10 Boys Premier, u11 Boys Premier, u12 Boys Premier, u13 Girls Premier and the u14 Girls Premier-- traveled to Dayton, Ohio to compete in the Mead CUSA Cup. The tournament featured top teams from Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee. The u9 Boys Premier and u13 Girls Premier teams advanced to the semifinals while the u10 Boys Premier and u11 Boys Premier teams reached the finals. Eight teams-u9 Boys Rangers, u9 Girls Premier, u10 Boys Elite, u10 Girls Elite, u11 Girls Premier, u12 Girls Premier, u13 Boys Premier and u14 Girls Elite-- stayed closer to home and competed in the 17th Annual Dublin Charity Cup. The u11 Girls advanced to the semifinals after an exciting penalty kick tiebreaker. Earning the title of Champions were the u9 Girls Premier and u10 Boys Elite. Classics FC teams kicked off the Fall 2006 Mid-Ohio Select Soccer League season on Tuesday, September 5th. Please check back regularly for team and club updates. |
